Melinda Bowers

Melinda Bowers joined CICU as a Program Associate in April 2022. In her current role, she performs a variety of administrative tasks that support CICU and its members. Prior to joining CICU, Melinda worked for the Department of Labor as a Tax Compliance Representative I for 20+ years. While working in this capacity, she interpreted and applied NYS Unemployment Insurance Tax Laws, Civil Practice Laws and Rules, and the policies and procedures of the Civil Enforcement Division with respect to the collection of delinquent unemployment insurance taxes. Her primary responsibility entailed providing accurate and detailed unemployment insurance information to New York State employers regarding tax assessments and reconciling their accounts. Melinda is customer-focused and understands the importance of working collaboratively to ensure a positive outcome for CICU and its members.
