Stefano (Steve) Acunto is Chairman of CINN Group, a private group of companies with interests in insurance, foreign trade, publishing, and entertainment. He serves on the boards of directors of US RE, and several other financial services sector companies and is a founding member of the revived New York Insurance Exchange.

Appointed Hon. Vice Consul for Italy in New York State in 2002, he was decorated with the rank of Commendatore, Order of Merit, Republic of Italy, and, in 2010, received Italy’s Star of Solidarity for his service. Mr. Acunto is a Trustee, John Cabot University of Rome, and is a Trustee, College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, New York. He is a Chancellor of the Consular Corps College (CCC), based in Washington. Mr. Acunto was Trustee and Chairman of the Board, La Scuola d’Italia, the private, independent K-12 Italian Prep School on Manhattan’s East Side. He is a Member of the Board of Directors, New York City Opera, and Chairman of the American Friends of La Scala Opera.

Mr. Acunto holds his B.A. and M.A. degrees (1971, 1973) in classical philology from New York University.

He and his wife, Carole Haarmann Acunto, reside in Greenwich, CT.
