History
Hometown: New York, NY
I have received financial assistance since my first year of college. My father is a retired police officer who receives a fixed income which does not allow him to pay for my college education. Financial aid has helped to ease the stress that comes from thinking about and figuring out a way to pay for my studies. Without financial assistance, college would not have been a reality for me. I have performed well in school and have made excellent use of the funds provided for me. I plan to attend law school after graduating from St. Lawrence University. As a C-STEP student, I have received help in paying for my application fees, registering with the Law School Data Assembly Service (necessary to use to apply to law school), and registering to take the Law School Admissions Test. I am grateful for the resources allotted to me. I am one of those individuals who would not be in college right now, had it not been for financial aid. Further, my choices of law schools would be very limited had it not been for C-STEP and other financial assistance programs that have made my hopes for a law career one step closer to reality.
