Cornell University:
On the campus of Cornell University, McGraw Tower houses the 21 bells that make up The Cornell Chimes; the bells ring daily with concerts featuring virtually every kind of music, from Baroque to the Beatles, from Schubert to Scott Joplin.
The following pieces, which can be downloaded in MP3 or Windows Media format, are from the newest chimes CD Far Above Cayuga's Waters. This is the first chimes recording after the renovation of the tower and tuning of the bells.
The Cornell Changes, also known as the Jennie McGraw Rag — in honor of Jennie McGraw, who donated the money for Cornell's original 9-bell chime. The Rag is the first song played at each morning's chimes concert.
